Sobre este libro

Arthur Moeller van den Bruck was one of the leading lights of the German “Conservative Revolution” of the 1920s. In this collection of essays from 1908 to 1924, Moeller confronts the thinkers and powers of his time. For him, even Spengler was not above criticism. He contends that there is no single “West” but a multitude of distinct nations with distinct fates. His central thesis in The Right of the Young Peoples is that the Germans are a young nation, embodying the ideal of constant progress and innovation. In this light, he criticizes their current position between a capitalist West and a communist East, urging them to seize their destiny and chart their own path on the European stage. Moeller refocuses our attention at the level of the nation, drawing out the German character and showing what role socialism will play in its revival, while setting forth his theory of race and its role in shaping a people. The Right of the Young Peoples provides a comprehensive understanding of Moeller’s thought, making this collection an ideal introduction to his work.
